MSSA Cups

The Maryland cup tradition has a long and rich history that goes back more than a century. The Rowland Cup is Maryland's oldest cup competition, first played in 1914, and is the state's open championship. The Stewart Cup began in 1932 for teams vying for the state's amateur title. The Morton Cup was created to honor former MSSA Vice President Darwin "Lefty" Morton and is for teams not competing in either the Rowland or Stewart Cup. We also offer the McGrath (Over-30), Maryland Over-40 & Over-50 Cups. Our teams also are eligible to play tournaments organized by our leagues and other US Adult Soccer members.

Final 8 Set Morton & MDV in Knockout Rounds
(19 January) We finish the month with the knockout rounds of the Morton & MDV Cups. The quarterfinals of the MDV will be cross play between the Rowland and Potomac groups. Christos FC will host Blazers after topping Rowland A in their 7:1 win over Patuxent Football Academy. Defending champion Ristozi FC took Rowland B with a 5:1 victory over Bowleys Athletics and will meet the Aegean Hawks. Los Toros trashed the Hawks 6:1 to head Potomac A and has a date against Bridge Sports while Yinz United will see DMV Elite for their quarterfinal tie. Morton Cup holder ACFC edged Lions FC 1:0 to maintain a perfect record in Group B to set up their playoff against Varcity FC. Group A winner Frederick Kings FC will be challenged by MoCo 1776 FC who advanced on goal differential. Das Bierhalle FC defeated DMV Starz 3:1 and will meet the Baltimore Kickers who also made it through on goal differential. The last match up has Group D leader A3 Highlanders against Santos FC who drew against DMV Starz Select 2:2. We then go into February with the semifinals and then move onto the Stewart and other cups. Stay tuned to this site for all updates, results and news about Maryland cup.
