MSSA Cup Champions
The Rowland & Stewart Cups are Maryland's oldest cup competitions.
The H.C.W. Rowland Challenge Cup was donated by Mrs. H.C.W. Rowland in the interest of Association Football in 1914. It is Maryland's open championship.
The Harry A. Stewart Trophy was established in 1932 as the Amateur Challenge Cup Competition.
It is believed that in the past that these competitions qualified Maryland sides into the respective national tournaments. Since 2013, the winners have advanced to the USASA Region I qualifiers, the Rowland Cup to the Werner Fricker Cup and the Stewart Cup to the Amateur Cup.
The Morton Cup was named after Darwin "Lefty" Morton, former Vice President of the Maryland State Soccer Association. Lefty coached for many years and was also an administrator for MSSA with the Cups program & registration. Lefty could be seen every Sunday at a pitch somewhere in the state checking the local scene. The Morton Cup is a state only competition. The Maryland-District-Virginia Cup was established in 2024 as part of the Centennial Celebration of the Maryland State Soccer Association. It drew the top sides from both sides of the Potomac River. After the first year success, it was decided to continue the competition for the bragging rights as the best in the MDV area.
The Maryland Over-30, Over-40 & Over-50 Cups qualify teams to represent the state at USASA Region I play.
